[ICOS-pCO2-IC2020] important updates for the pCO2 inter-comparison
Dear all,
we are moving fast towards the inter-comparison exercise in summer and we have some updated information and requests for you:
* We published instructions for shipping the instruments for the inter-comparison: https://otc.icos-cp.eu/node/150. Please visit the website and follow the deadlines. The next deadline is already March, 15. Please note that there are different guidelines for instruments coming from EU and non-EU countries. * Some groups had to cancel their participation, which is understandable. However, we still will have 28 instruments (19 different types) at the exercise. Some good news in these strange times. * We are in the process of reviewing the "quick start guides" and all other technical information. We will contact you in the next weeks for more detailed information. * We will start setting up the instruments in Oostende by June, 16 and we plan to have everything running by June, 25. This leaves us three days before the actual experiment where we can test the whole setup. * We will slowly add more information to the web site in the next weeks (schedules, data handling,...). Please have a look from time to time: https://otc.icos-cp.eu/node/144 * Since the question was brought up several times: We aim for a pCO2 range between 200 and 800 µatm and a temperature range between 5 and 30 degC.
We are excited for the inter-comparison, even if it is sad that we have to do it in such a remote way. Best wishes and thank you for being part of it,
Tobias
